Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you play Coil, a mobile game by Lone Titan Games, a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). Questions: support@lonetitangames.com.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing. Coil has no accounts and no servers of ours. Your progress, coins, gems, upgrades and settings are saved only on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes them from the device.
If your device's backup is turned on, Android may automatically back up the game's save to your own Google account and restore it when you reinstall Coil. This backup is handled by Google under your Google account; we cannot see or access it. You can turn it off in your device's settings (Settings → Google → Backup, or Settings → System → Backup).
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Coil shows ads through Google AdMob, including ads you choose to watch for a reward. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google's ad software in the game may collect:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers;
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version);
- how you interact with ads, and crash and performance diagnostics of the ad software.
This information goes to Google, not to us. Where you have agreed to it, Google may use it to show you personalized ads. How Google uses it: How Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google's Privacy Policy.
Your choices. Players in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown and can change their choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices in the game. On Android, anyone can reset or delete their advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in the device's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Buying No Ads in the game removes the ads shown between levels.
Purchases
In-game purchases are handled by Google Play. Google processes your payment; we never see your card or billing details. We receive only a confirmation of what was bought, so the game can deliver it. Google Play keeps a record of your purchases on your Google account: permanent purchases such as No Ads can be brought back on a reinstall or a new device with Restore Purchases in the game's Store. If something you bought is missing, write to us with your Google Play order number and we will help.
Children
Coil is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the game and want information about them removed from Google's advertising systems, contact us and we will help.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information. We have none to sell or share beyond what Google's software collects as described above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR, or California's privacy laws) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to object to its use. Since we hold none ourselves, requests about advertising data are best made to Google through the links above; you can also write to us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
